To All members of Karate Union of Singapore

1. The KUS will be organizing the 1st KUS Junior Championship on Sunday,
29 November 2009 at Shitoryu Karate Association. The Management Committee of
KUS would like to invite all members to support and participate in this event.

2. Event and Category
Please refer to Annex A

3. Participation Form and Indemnity Form
Please refer to Annex B

4. Rules of Participation
Each event category (must has a minimum of 4 players). Failing which, the events
will be deleted or combine with other category.

5. The competition shall be conducted in accordance with the WKF Rules of competition.

6. All Kumite players shall be responsible for their own safety equipment such as Gum
Shield, shin pad and instep pad and mitts. Body protector is compulsory for all female
kumite players.

7. Kata Event (Individual or Team)
For Kata event, players is allow to perform the tokui kata, kata once performed is not allow to be repeated.

8. Team Manager must ensure that their players or team are ready and stand-by before
their match is to start. Any players/team causing undue delay will result in KIKEN

9. Appeal and Protest
Appeal and Protest shall be in accordance with WKF Rules of Competition. The
Protest must be submitted in writing, signed by the Official Representatives or Team
Manager of the Team/participant and must accompanied by a protest fee of SGD $100
to the Referee Council. The $100 will be refunded if the appeal is valid.

10. Eligibilty
The Championship is open to all KUS members and its affiliates and invited
participants


11. The event is for 16 years -17 years old and 18 years to 20 years old. The next birthday shall as at 29 November 2009



12. Participation Fees
The entry fee shall be $20.00 per participant. Fees paid are not refundable.
Participation fee shall be payable by cheque to : "Karate Union of Singapore".
Back of cheque write 1st KUS Junior Championship.

13. Insurance
All participants are to arrange their own insurance coverage.

14. Team Manager Meeting and Draw
Team Manager meeting will be conducted one week before the event. Date , time
and venue will be announce later.

15. The organizer reserve the right to cancel or amend the fixtures or event or reject any
participation if it deems necessary.
